KARTOGRAFI: Final project done at Vancouver Film School
Kartografi is a project about a woman named Isabella Bird, who is travelling the world as a cartographer and mapping it as she goes. The goal was to design a character and the props she would use and execute those designs to life in 3D, and the challenge was to bring all of it in to the same world with believable textures and lighting.
Original pitch for project was to make a traveling merchant, but as that felt a little generic and overdone, the idea soon evolved into a kartographer traversing around the world, mapping it. This would allow med to create both a character, their props and a snapshot of the surrounding environment.

Character made for project "Kartografi", named Isabella Bird. Concept and model all made by me. Character was also rigged with a basic rig so I could change her poses between shots.
